Mars Rover Team Member Bringing Inspiration for Young Women
November 7, 2012A member of the NASA Mars Science Laboratory Rover Curiosity team will share her experiences and inspire young women to explore space sciences at an appearance at Cedar Crest College, Allentown, Pa.
Jennifer Stern, Ph.D., is a Geochemist for the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. Her work with the Mars Rover, which landed on the red planet in Aug. 2012, focuses primarily on measuring the chemical composition of the planet’s atmosphere and surface.
Dr. Stern’s presentation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. in the college’s Alumnae Hall Auditorium. Cedar Crest College is a college for women, and the Da Vinci Science Center building is on land it leases from the college.
