H/Experiences/Girl Scout Day: Rope Runner Workshop

Girl Scout Day: Rope Runner Workshop

Program for Girl Scouts of All Ages

Roper Runners are the Girl Scouts’ equivalent to the Boy Scouts’ Pinewood Derby. Scouts will learn balance, physics, and engineering from Da Vinci Science Center educators as they create their very own Rope Runner to take home. After the workshop, leaders will be given instructions on how to facilitate their own Rope Runner Derby if they wish. This workshop includes opportunities for “test flights” of the girls’ Rope Runners.
