Senior Science Mondays Program: Stroke: From A to Z

The Da Vinci Science Center’s Senior Science Monday Programs are for curious minds ages 62 and up. Participants enjoy the program, led by officials from St. Luke’s University Health Network, along with light refreshments and a full day of exploring the Science Center with a membership or admission at a reduced price.

  • Topic: Stroke from A to Z and everything you didn’t know you wanted to know
  • Presenter: Daniel Ackerman, M.D., Director of Stroke and Vascular Neurology
  • Description: Dr. Ackerman will take participants on a fascinating journey to reveal what a stroke really is and some of the many ways that this change in the brain can affect a person. From stroke risk and prevention, through symptoms and evaluation, to rehab and recovery, Dr. Ackerman will cover the crucial points that everyone needs to know.
