Regional Workforce Initiatives



The Da Vinci Science Center champions a future scientific and technical workforce in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey through its strategic regional initiatives. These initiatives integrate a limited-engagement Da Vinci Science Center exhibit experience with community programming that highlights industry workforce development needs and opportunities.
 

Medical Industry Initiative
Inception Sept. 2012

Opening Phase Year of the Human Body (Sept. 2012-Sept. 2013)
Exhibit Experiences Bodies Revealed (Oct. 2012-Feb. 2013); Grossology (May-Sept. 2013)
Programs Programs will include a public mini-medical school experience, Science On the Move Programs, visitor activities at Inquiry Island, and other programs to be announced.

Exhibit Experience How People Make Things, Inspired by the Mister Rogers Factory Tours (June-Oct. 2011)
Programs Lehigh Valley Manufacturing Summit (Aug. 2011); Creation of the I’m A Maker video series
Highlights Initiative called a “national model” by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) at Lehigh Valley Manufacturing Summit
