Our Facts

The Da Vinci Science Center (DSC) is an independent nonprofit organization and has been a leader in bringing science to life and lives to science since 1992. The Center excels in connecting people of all ages to the wonders of science in their lives, their creative curiosities, and tomorrow’s innovative careers. Its engaging and highly-interactive experiences include a two-story exhibit floor; nearly three-dozen programs for visitors of all ages, students, educators, and community groups; and regional workforce initiatives that integrate limited-engagement exhibits with programs highlighting workforce development opportunities. Our Community

Our Center is located in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, approximately 65 miles north of Philadelphia, Pa., and 90 miles south of New York, N.Y. Our primary service area in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey is home to 3.8 million people.

Our Economic Impact

The Da Vinci Science Center’s economic impact in the long-term is immeasurable inasmuch as its work is dedicated primarily to the inspiration of future scientists and professionals and the development of a scientific and technical workforce.

The Da Vinci Science Center has earned more than $3 million since 2006 in grants from corporations and federal government agencies outside the Lehigh Valley region – including the MetLife Foundation, Motorola, the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS), and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
