The Da Vinci Science Center has released its 2015 Community Impact Report on its website.
The report celebrates the 20-year milestone since the organization opened its first hands-on science facility in 1995 and highlights the organization’s growth over the past twenty years – including an average annual growth of 12 percent in attendance and 186 percent in outreach participation since 2011.
“While these numbers demonstrate our growing impact, the we take greater pride in our role influencing students’ lives, science education in schools, and our region’s economic development,” Vincent Sorgi – Chairman of the Da Vinci Science Center’s Board of Trustees – and Lin Erickson – the Center’s Executive Director and CEO – stated in a letter to Center supports included in the report. “We are committed to helping make STEM concepts come alive for students, teachers, and families so they see the important connections to real world applications, STEM careers, and their lives.”
The 2015 Da Vinci Science Center Community Impact Report also details the Center’s 2016-2019 Strategic Plan, describes the data- and community-driven process the Center is undertaking to consider potential expansion opportunities, and acknowledges the visitors, members, sponsors, and donors that help the organization bring science to life and lives to science every day. The report can be viewed and downloaded on the web at davincisciencecenter.org/reports.
