Da Vinci Science Center to Host Special Boy Scout Space Badge Day

Boy Scouts will have a special opportunity to explore the feature exhibition Space: A Journey to Our Future and fulfill a majority of the requirements for the Boy Scout Space Exploration Merit Badge during a special Da Vinci Science Center Boy Scout Day Program on Saturday, May 31, 2014.

The program will held from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., and will include three classes, a lunch break, and chances to explore the Space exhibition. Scouts may bring their own lunch or order pizza from Domino’s through the Da Vinci Science Center in advance.

Boy Scout groups can sign up by completing and a submitting a registration form available on the web at davincisciencecenter.org/scouts. The program price includes Summer 2014 Admission to the Da Vinci Science Center – which includes access to the Space exhibition and the Center’s entire exhibit floor. Scouts will be welcome to continue exploring the Center that day until 5 p.m.

All Space Exploration Merit Badge requirements will be fulfilled during the program except for the requirement to build, launch, and recover a model rocket.

The Space exhibition is presented at the Da Vinci Science Center by Air Products and the Dexter F. and Dorothy H. Baker Foundation.
