Lehigh County Commissioner Michael Schware Appointed to DSC Board

Hon. Michael P. Schware, Vice Chairman of the Lehigh County Board of Commissioners, has joined the Da Vinci Science Center Board of Trustees as an Ex-Officio member.

Schware was appointed by the Lehigh County board in advance of the Da Vinci Science Center’s quarterly board meeting on Feb. 19. Ex-Officio positions are non-voting positions on the Center’s board.

Schware has been a Lehigh County Commissioner since Feb. 2012, and was elected Vice Chairman of the county board in Jan. 2016. Schware has been a Certified Public Accountant for more than 20 years. He has been the owner of his own firm since 2011 and worked previously with Concannon Miller & Co., P.C., in Allentown, Pa. Schware also is a former member of the U.S. Army, serving on a Special Forces – or Green Berets – A-Team.

Schware is a former member of the Allentown Planning Commission, a former board member with the Allentown Preservation League, and a former committee member for the Wildlands Conservancy Drive-Thru Arboretum Project.

Schware holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Penn State University.
