GoFundMe Summer Camp 2016
The Da Vinci Science Center is asking the community to help send students from underserved backgrounds to Summer Camp through a special crowdfunding effort.

The Center has set up a campaign through the GoFundMe web platform to raise $3,000, which is enough money to allow 10 students from grades K-8 to attend a week-long day camp session and to receive free transportation. The Center will work educators and community leaders to select scholarship recipients.

Da Vinci Science Center Summer Camp sessions offer playful hands-on adventures highlighting many of the enjoyable topics that the Center brings to life every day. Sessions for 2016 take place from June 20-Aug. 26.

This year’s camp activities include programming video games, making cartoons, creating with Arduino technology, using real-world crime investigation techniques, sculpting with electric clay, and creating gooey and icky slime. Camp sessions also include field trips to Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom, Lehigh Valley Zoo, and more fun Lehigh Valley venues.

The Da Vinci Science Center’s 2016 Summer Camp experiences also are supported by FLSmidth, Bob and Sandy Lovett, and Coca Cola Bottling Company of the Lehigh Valley.
