Highlights: DSC Seeks Contestants for Slime Science Live! Game Show

The Da Vinci Science Center seeks contestants for its Slime Science Live! show, which is sure to delight visitors and members throughout the summer.

Sponsored by The Hartford and Airgas, Slime Science Live! is a super messy game show in which visitors avoid getting slimed and try to get their opponents slimed by answering fun and gross science trivia questions. Center member families enjoyed a three-game preview during a Members Night event on June 3.

Games can be played by one individual against another individual or by teams of two people against each other. Each game is played with a 15-minute clock. When a contestant gets a question wrong, they receive a strike. When a contestant answers a question correctly, they may choose to give the other contestant a strike or take away one of their own strikes.

When a contestant gains five strikes, they get slimed. Contestants can be slimed multiple times during a game. If no contestant is slimed by the end of the 15-minute show, then the show’s host gets slimed.

Slime Science Live! shows will be presented on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from June 25-Sept. 5. Shows on Saturdays and holidays held at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. Shows on Sundays held at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Members and fans interested in competing are encouraged to submit a contestant application form at davincisciencecenter.org/slime.
