Jonn McCollum, Ph.D., has been the Da Vinci Science Center’s Exhibit Development Manager since July 2016 and is a member of the Center’s Leadership Team.
McCollum came to the Da Vinci Science Center with nearly 15 years of experience developing interactive science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) exhibits that feature cutting-edge technologies and multimedia. He served as Senior Exhibition Developer and Project Manager for the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, N.J. from 2002-2014 and worked independently as an exhibition developer from 2014-2016.
McCollum played a critical role in the Liberty Science Center’s 64,000-square-foot, $109 million renovation and expansion project culminating in that science center’s re-opening in 2007. He also developed interactive visitor experiences for cultural institutions around the world through the organization’s museum planning division.
McCollum has earned a doctorate in Neuroscience with a concentration on brain mechanisms of learning and memory and a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Irvine.
