Despite the pandemic, in 2020 over 99,000 individuals participated in Da Vinci Science Center’s STEAM activities during a time when parents and teachers scrambled to create stable learning environments. The rigorous portfolio of virtual and in-person programs will continue to help combat COVID learning slide and provide standards-based experiences to enhance both classroom education and at-home learning
These programs not only make science fun for students, but increase interest in the subjects of science, technology, engineering, art, and math and introduce students to the concepts, competencies, and connections that lead to careers in the growing STEM workforce. A special focus is placed on students from low income communities, who may have limited access to hands-on STEAM activities.
The reports below highlight our dedication to the local community in greater detail.
