BRICKLIVE Ocean is generously supported by Reach Cyber Charter School, The Hartford, and B104.
BRICKLIVE Ocean, produced by Imagine Exhibitions, features 25 awe-inspiring sculptures of marine life, including life-sized sharks, dolphins, seals, and sea lions, built from more than 1,000,000 interlocking construction toy bricks that took over 4,300 hours to build. Throughout the experience, visitors will explore the engineering design process, learn fun facts about marine life, and discover ways in which they can help protect aquatic animals and the ocean environment. Life-sized sculptures include:

We are implementing the following measures to safeguard the health and safety of staff, volunteers, and visitors:
An entirely outdoor exhibit. We are moving outside to take full advantage of sunlight, plenty of fresh air, and extra space to allow for enhanced social distancing.
Limited daily capacity and timed ticketing. To avoid overcrowding, visitors must reserve timed tickets online in advance of a visit. This will provide for a contactless admission process and allow the Science Center to meter guests into the exhibit, which will create plenty of space between people within the exhibit.
One-way path. The exhibition has been designed as a one-way path in which your party will move through a series of distinct stations all while staying a safe distance from other parties.
Enhanced social distancing. The extra space that comes with being outdoors plus a limited daily capacity, timed ticketing, and a one-way path all allow for enhanced social distancing of more than six feet, at all times, between your party and all other staff and visitors.
A contact-free experience. We have eliminated touch points and instead created many opportunities for fun family photos.
Face Coverings will be required for Science Center staff and volunteers as well as all guests ages 2 and older as required by Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines.
Hand Sanitizer and Hand Washing. Hand sanitizer will be made readily available for guests throughout the exhibit. In addition, we have installed automatic-touchless valves and flushers on all fixtures in the restrooms.
Most ocean species have yet to be discovered. Scientists have successfully identified around 130,000 species in the ocean, and more are being discovered everyday!
70% of the Earth’s surface is covered by water.
The giant squid has the largest eye in the animal kingdom- up to 10 inches in diameter!
The Mako Shark is one of the fastest fish on the planet, and can reach speeds of 45 mph.
Please consider helping our community members during this difficult time. Many families are struggling to secure basic necessities. The Da Vinci Science Center is collecting the following items at our Welcome Center tent during BRICKLIVE Ocean. Thank you for helping the families in our community when they most need it.
