Erel STEM Scholarship Award Winner: Caitlin Stoudt

Caitlin Stoudt, 12th Grade
Northampton Area High School
Northampton Area School District

Caitlin Stoudt believes that STEAM education makes connections between disciplines to make a difference in the world. She plans to pursue a degree in chemical engineering because she believes it is a versatile field that blends her two biggest interests: science and math. She hopes to participate in undergraduate research and, one day, be able to grow as a scientist and pursue her own research studies. Caitlin hopes to change the world, “In the future, I plan on contributing to STEAM by participating in nuclear fusion research so humanity can finally move forward out of the age of fossil fuels.”

Caitlin is a tutor and a member of the Arts Club and Math Club at Northampton Area High School. She’s also president of the National Honor Society; participates in Scholastic Scrimmage, the school’s trivia team; and volunteers Love Serving Autism where she teaches tennis to children with autism.
