The Da Vinci Science Center, B104, and Highmark Blue Shield are giving away a free outreach education program featuring Cyndi the SynDaver for your classroom!
Educators in grades 5-12 can register to win on B104’s website. The winning educator will be able to schedule this visit in the 2018-19 school year and must be in the B104 listening area to be eligible.
Cyndi the SynDaver is the most realistic synthetic representation of human anatomy ever produced, and features complete and functional muscular, skeletal, circulatory, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and endocrine systems – all made from materials that look, feel, and respond just like live tissue. Experiences can include dissections and other experiments to highlight a particular system of the body.
Typically, SynDaver is used in medical device studies, clinical training, and surgical simulation. The Da Vinci Science Center is an early adopter in using SynDaver for medical education with middle and high school students.
The addition of SynDaver to Da Vinci Science Center outreach education programs was made possible through the generous support of Highmark Blue Shield.
