H/PJAS Judges Needed!

PJAS Judges Needed!

In February, 2021, the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science Region 3 will host a virtual event for junior and senior high school students who conducted  science, computer, engineering, and math projects.

They need your help to promote the appreciation of science, technology, engineering, and math in today’s young people.  Please consider donating your time and talent to serve as a judge of these presentations.

A background/training session will be provided before the event.

Below is the tentative information about the event and registration information. If you are available to help or have any questions, please contact Megan Basile at mbasile@nullsalisburysd.org.

Tentative Format: This format will be used for both regional events and the state event this year.

  • Participants will submit a slideshow/pdf and an audio file of their presentations.
  • Presentations will be divided into units based on the category of the project and the age level of the participant. It’s estimated that each unit will include approximately 10 presentations.
  • Presentation units will be shared with judges along with scoring guidelines and a digital score sheet.
  • Judges will have 10 days to review and score presentations. (Unfortunately you will not have the opportunity to ask participants questions or to collaborate with other judges.)

How to Register: Use one of the following methods.
