The term #BestDayOutWiththeKids, used to describe a visit to the Da Vinci Science Center, took on a special meeting recently for one young visitor in particular.
Fifth-grader Lucia Cinquino of Bethlehem, Pa., got to serve recently as the Center’s CEO for a Day. Her special experience was a silent auction prize during the 2016 Da Vinci Science Center Gala in May.
As part of her special day, Lucia met with several key staff members, toured the Center and its behind-the-scenes areas, supervised the daily summer Inquiry Island activity, helped perform maintenance on the Marine Tank exhibit, and even approved a purchase order for additional tank supplies.
Lucia also was given a sneak peek at some of the new exhibits the Center will be opening in the coming months and got to set the staff dress code for the day, requiring all employees to incorporate at least three different colors in their attire.
