Da Vinci Science Center Leonardo Society Closing Successful First Year

The Da Vinci Science Center will mark the first anniversary of its Leonardo Society and conclude its founding membership period in April 16, 2012.

The Leonardo Society is comprised of individuals who support the Da Vinci Science Center with an annual gift of at least $1,000, toward its operations. The society has recruited nearly 40 members to date, exceeding expectations greatly.

The first Leonardo Society Dinner will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 5:30 p.m., at ATAS International, Inc., in Allentown, Pa. ATAS is a family-owned business that has produced metal roofing, wall panels, and ceiling panels for 50 years and has satellite operations in Maryville, Tenn., and Mesa, Ariz.

The catered dinner will be followed by a plant tour and program on manufacturing in eastern Pennsylvania by ATAS President Dick Bus. Da Vinci Science Center CEO Troy A. Thrash also will present a review of the organization’s successes in the previous year and plans for the coming year.
