DSC, CSC to Host New Partners in Education Family 5K
Community Services for Children (CSC) and the Da Vinci Science Center will host their first Partners in Education Family 5K race and walk fundraiser on Saturday, April 23, 2016.
The 5K event will take place on the Cedar Crest College campus in Allentown and will begin and end near the Da Vinci Science Center entrance. Participants of all ages and strollers are welcome, but families should note that the race course is on grass. The race will begin at 9 a.m. and with registration opening at 8 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to top three male and female finishers in their respective age categories.
Registration is open through Thursday, April 21, through the Community Services for Children website. Participants registered by Wednesday, March 23, will be guaranteed to receive a race shirt. Race packets can be picked up at Da Vinci Science Center on Friday, April 22, from 3-5 p.m.
Race fees are $25.00 for people ages 14 and up, $10.00 for participants ages 13 and under, and $20.00 each for teams of four or more runners. All event proceeds benefit educational programs provided by the Da Vinci Science Center and Community Services for Children.
Community Services for Children provides early childhood education services throughout the Lehigh Valley area, including a Head Start program ranked one of the ten best in the United States by the National Head Start Association.
