STEAM Team Specialty Outreach Programs provide teachers and students with unique access to the Science Center’s interactive healthcare exhibits, SynDaver and The MEGA Brain. These programs allow students to take a deep dive into the anatomy and functions of the body in fun and engaging ways.

Cyndi, our SynDaver (synthetic cadaver), and our knowledgeable staff will help to answer your questions about the human body, how it works, and how to keep it healthy. SynDaver features complete and functional muscular, skeletal, circulatory, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and endocrine systems – all made from materials that look, feel, and respond just like live tissue. These hour-long experiences explore different systems of the body through a series of experiments and dissections.

What we do:
Participants will view our SynDaver up close as they explore the look, feel, and location of features within the human body! Students then rotate through a series of hands on stations where they’ll diagnose patients, observe real organs, and learn about the functions of major body systems.

STEAM Team educators travel with The MEGA Brain to events across the Lehigh Valley and deliver hands-on science programs for curious minds of all ages.
