H/STEM Leadership Award Winner: Matthew Erway

STEM Leadership Award Winner: Matthew Erway

Matt Erway is proud to be a faculty member of the Wellsboro Area School District.  21 Years of teaching with inspiring administrators, teachers, and staff have driven his passion for teaching and empowering young learners. Throughout his career, Matt has used Technology Education, Engineering, and STEM-based curriculum to provide students with opportunities to learn concepts and build skills that will impact their future. With a Degree in Technology Education from Millersville University, he understands that one of the best way to keep students motivated is through hands-on projects and experiments. Showing kids that they can design, build, create, and invent brings new energy to the classroom and inspires student innovation.

Matt is honored to be one of the recipients of this year’s Da Vinci Science Center Hall of Fame STEM Leadership Award. The mission, vision, and countless opportunities the Da Vinci Science Center empowers truly does bring Science to life and represents what Science and STEM education is all about.
