LVHN My Body Exhibit Gallery
“One Of A Kind” Bio-Identifier Exhibit
We are born with many biological traits that make us unique. One of the biological identifiers most commonly used for identification is the fingerprint. In this exhibit, visitors scan and examine their fingerprints and compare them to others on a screen-based interactive. Visitors can tap stock fingerprints to enlarge and examine them, allowing for further exploration/comparison of pattern and identification.

“Look Closer” Video Microscope
Visitors use a genuine video microscope to examine authentic specimens, including their own bodies. Selecting from a set of specimen dishes or choosing to examine their own skin, hair, or other parts, visitors are encouraged to take a closer look at the human body. Exploring magnification shows the crucial role it plays in medical research, from vaccine creation, to diagnosis, to stem-cell research.

“See Inside” Medical Imaging Exhibit
Visitors use a back-lit light table to explore an array of reproductions of X-Ray, MRI, and CT scans. The different samples of medical imaging feature various body parts and intriguing objects, such as an artificial hip or a golf ball in a child’s stomach.

“Using My Body” Hub
Visitors memorize and replicate a series of actions of ever-increasing complexity while learning about how “working” memory relates to other forms of memory. As the user experiments with their own working memory, the experience provides strategies for improvement, as well as challenging distractions, which reveal key aspects of working memory.

Immersive Body: Digestive Intestinal Tunnel & Climber
Applied elements create the image of a giant, glowing intestine. Twisting and turning, there are opportunities for kids to explore & burn energy – all while in sight of their caregivers. Elements embedded in the walls, ceilings, and floors of the intestine provide a variety of sensory experiences; each one suggesting different functions happening inside your gut.

Curiosity Hall Exhibit Gallery
Activity Kiosks (Group of 3)
The Curiosity Hall exhibit gallery is located immediately to the right of the main lobby and receives a high amount of foot traffic. As the main point of interaction in Curiosity Hall, the activity kiosks see some of the highest guest interaction among all exhibits the science center.

Design A Self Portrait Program
Visitors utilize their imagination along with dozens of digital props and art medium filters to create a totally unique digital self portrait. Portraits are then magically transported to the fly-through digital gallery alongside other user generated portraits and historical portraits.

Build A Flying Machine Program
Choosing from a catalog of aircraft body types, propulsion methods, and stabilizing elements, guests will craft their own unique flying machines. Machines will be personalized with unique graphics and color schemes, then “launched” onto the main projection wall where visitors can watch the performance of their flying machine as it travels over the Lehigh Valley.

Lehigh River Watershed Exhibit Gallery
“What Will You Do?” Visitor Response Activity
Upon exiting the Lehigh River Watershed exhibit gallery, visitors will be given a prompt related to conservation along with four actions from which to choose. Each action demonstrates something visitors can do at home to try to improve their local environment.
Each action will include a QR code to link visitors to Da Vinci Science Center’s website with more information.

“What Will You Do?” Visitor Response Activity
This extra large hands-on water table attracts children and parents alike. Children play with Duplo locking blocks, lily pads, toy animals, rotating pans, and other interactive play elements as they build and learn about dams and their impact on wildlife and waterways.
