Join us for week-long and single-day summer camps at Da Vinci Science Center. Experienced educators lead hands-on science activities that inspire campers to think creatively, be curious, and learn through their own observations and discoveries.
Campers will make new friends, develop lifelong critical thinking skills, and totally have the most fun with science.

Campers will use their present-day science skills to help them answer millennia-old questions. What did dinosaurs eat? How did they get around? What’s the difference between these ancient lizards and their modern-day relatives? The answers just may surprise you! Learn more about how fossils were made, how the world was different, and what may have caused these creatures to go extinct.

There is so much to discover about the world of color. Explore how our eyes see different colors and even learn about some “colors” we cannot see. Discover how to make all the colors of the rainbow (and more) by mixing the primary colors of paint and light. Everyone is sure to have a blast getting messy and creative!

Join us for the perfect pairing for our summer exhibition, Survival of the Slowest. Learn about the unique characteristics and behaviors of animals that move slowly, such as snakes, sloths, and turtles. Interactive activities and hands-on experiments will help children understand the adaptations and survival strategies of these animals.

Think like engineers and artists to design and construct one-of-a-kind creations. Learn to work together through interactive activities and hands-on experiences. Develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. From kinetic sculptures to boats and buildings, there’s something for everyone to explore.

This camp is the perfect combination for kids with a love for science and reading. Journey through the pages as we learn about different scientific principles such as physics, chemistry, and biology. Camp includes interactive activities, experiments, and projects that help inspire scientific curiosity as well as creativity.

Introduce your little one to the world of coding. Learn the basics of coding through interactive activities, games, and projects that are age-appropriate and fun. Educators use visual programming languages such as Scratch Jr to help kids understand and create their own programs.

Find your way across the sky and take a virtual reality tour through our solar system. From faraway constellations to the sun and moon above our heads, create your own rockets and rovers to explore all that is out of this world!

Investigate various animal adaptations and how they help creatures survive in the wild. Observe and study sloths and tortoises featured in our traveling exhibit, Survival of the Slowest. Learn the importance of preserving these species and the role they play in the ecosystem. This week is going to be wild!

Step out of the kitchen and into the lab as you explore the fascinating world of food science. Discover where food comes from, how it gets to us, and how to make some yummy culinary concoctions by measuring accurately, following a recipe closely, and cooking things completely. Together, we’ll also learn from industry professionals!

Make your own games and apps and learn the basics of computer programming using icon-based computer languages made for kids. Spend the week working with computers, tablets, robotics, and several “unplugged” activities to add variety and complexity to our days.

We have a mystery on our hands. Put your detective skills to the test as you discover new and intriguing evidence, study forensic techniques, and work together to catch the culprit. You might be surprised by just how much science is behind solving a crime!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it: become the best super spy in the valley! Unlock your true potential as you practice picking real locks and cracking complex codes. Experiment with the latest tech gadgets and modern methods for uncovering the truth. Test your new problem-solving skills in an Escape Room adventure!

Join us as we explore the many sciences that comprise the medical professions. Discover how microbiology, epidemiology, and anatomy all contribute to the work of clinical practitioners. Highlights include an in-depth interaction with Cyndi the SynDaver (synthetic cadaver), guided dissections, and interactions with industry professionals.

Trade in your controller for a keyboard and mouse as you explore the programming, art, and engineering techniques used to create video games. Travel through land, air, and sea to learn just how many ways people can get from place to place. Learn the ins and outs of locomotion by exploring the engineering behind movement. Design and experiment with various modes of transportation such as planes, trains, and cars. Push the limits to discover how far, fast, and high you can go!

Journey into the jungle and discover everything the rainforest has to offer. From beautiful colors to exotic animals, there is so much for us to explore. Investigate ways to keep this important ecosystem alive and well with hands-on explorations and engineering challenges.

Test your engineering skills while playing with everyone’s favorite brick: LEGO®! Take it a step further by programming your creations to do what you want. Problem-solve, complete challenges, and use your creativity to help build a better world. No coding experience required; everyone will be able to explore the LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 robotics at their own pace.

The world is an amazing (and gross) place. Try out all of the best gassy, gurgly, and downright messy experiments we can come up with. Based on Sylvia Branzei’s popular children’s book series, this very sticky, super slimy, extra smelly, day of exploration is perfect for new and experienced Grossologists alike.
Friday, June 16 ; Full day session
Come one come all, for one day only, step out from under the big top and into the lab for a deep dive into carnival science. Amazement and amusement abound as we discover the tips and tricks behind well-known performances. Make objects float in the air, pull tablecloths out from under dishes, and more!
