The role of women in the workplace has come a long way since they exploded into the workforce during World War II, but there continue to be disparities between men and women, particularly in STEM careers. While women make up half the workforce in the Lehigh Valley, they fill less than a third of STEM jobs - particularly in manufacturing and engineering. You can help us continue to move the needle on this trend by supporting scholarships for girls with interest in STEM to participate in STEAM education programs and work toward a STEAM Career Ladder Certificate.Donations to the Da Vinci Science Center WISE scholarship appeal will support scholarships for girls interested in pursuing a STEAM education.
