Ice Cream Wars
Ice Cream Wars is the Da Vinci Science Center’s popular wintry celebration of liquid nitrogen ice cream. Teams mix creative ice cream flavors before adding liquid nitrogen as a freezing agent. Visitors taste the flavors and choose their favorite flavor. Ice Cream Wars 4.0 was held on Saturday, Jan. 7, with the team from 401! Creative becoming the first partner corporation to capture the contest’s top prize.

Every Ice Cream Wars 4.0 team represented a Lehigh Valley company and included a mentor from the Da Vinci Science Center. While liquid nitrogen stands at negative 320 degrees Fahrenheit, it evaporates quickly when mixed with the ice cream ingredients. The smooth, creamy ice cream is safe to eat in approximately five minutes. Ice Cream Wars 4.0 also featured Judges’ Awards for spirit and creativity.
