ALLENTOWN, PA, July 30, 2025 – Da Vinci Science Center is proud to announce two new appointments to its executive leadership team: Dr. Hoda Ehsan has joined the Science Center as Chief Learning Officer, and Dr. Julie Ambrose has been promoted to Director of Philanthropy. These key leadership roles will support the Science Center’s mission to bring science to life and lives to science through dynamic learning experiences and strong community partnerships.
As Chief Learning Officer, Dr. Hoda Ehsan will lead the strategic direction of STEAM education across all programs, including interactive exhibit experiences, classroom-based instruction, and outreach throughout the region. With over 15 years of experience in STEM education, Dr. Ehsan has a proven track record of integrating engineering and computer science with real-world, hands-on learning. She founded a nonprofit makerspace and led interdisciplinary programs that emphasize instructional innovation and inclusive learning.
“Dr. Ehsan’s deep expertise in both the science and the art of education makes her an exceptional addition to our team,” said Lin Erickson, Executive Director and CEO of Da Vinci Science Center. “Her leadership will elevate our work in inspiring curiosity, fostering creativity, and ensuring that learners of all backgrounds see themselves in science.”

The Science Center also celebrates the promotion of Dr. Julie Ambrose to Director of Philanthropy, where she will lead fundraising strategy, manage donor engagement, and collaborate across departments to grow philanthropic and grant support for programs and operations.
Dr. Ambrose brings more than 30 years of experience in public education leadership and nonprofit development, most recently serving as Executive Director of the Allentown School District Foundation. Her work has focused on strategic partnerships, educational equity, and sustainable funding models that advance access to high-quality learning opportunities.
“Dr. Ambrose’s unique combination of fundraising expertise and deep knowledge of educational systems will be instrumental in strengthening the Science Center’s impact and long-term sustainability,” said Erickson.
With these appointments, Da Vinci Science Center is poised to grow its role as a leader in STEAM education and community engagement across the Lehigh Valley and beyond.
