Little Learners: My Grown-Up & Me is a program for preschoolers ages 3-6 and their adults to enjoy hands-on activities, learn helpful 21st century skills, and work together to create, innovate, and problem-solve.
Taking place in the Salvaggio Little Learner’s Lab within Da Vinci Science Center at PPL Pavilion, learners will investigate, experiment, make observations, and ask questions.
Each session is created to stand on its own, but when attending multiple sessions, your little one will be able to put it all together to see the big picture.
Registration is required for all programs, and adults must remain with their child at all times.
Little Learners: My Grown-Up & Me Program Details
- All workshops are from 10-11 a.m.
- Registration is required for children and adults
- One adult is required for every 2 children
- Price: $5.50 per person, per workshop (plus the cost of general admission)
- Member Price: $4.50 per person, per workshop
- Adults must stay with children at all times.
- Space is limited.
How to Register
To register, you must purchase (or reserve, if you’re a member) general admission tickets for the selected workshop date(s) and then you will be prompted to add on a workshop ticket before you complete checkout.

Build a Bug: Nature Meets Engineering
Explore the amazing world of insects and discover what makes a bug a bug! Bring your own wacky and wonderful creatures to life using colorful craft supplies. As they cut, glue, and create, little ones will build fine motor skills, stretch their imaginations, and get a fun introduction to biology and design.
Volcano Village
Get ready for a bubbling, fizzing, explosive good time! Young scientists build and decorate their very own volcanoes—then make them erupt in a safe, super-fun science experiment. Along the way, kids will explore basic earth science and chemistry concepts, all while fueling their curiosity and creativity. It’s messy, magical, and sure to WOW!
Inventor’s Lab
Little learners explore creativity, problem-solving, and early engineering skills through guided experiments and tinkering activities.
Ocean Explorers
Dive into the wonders of the ocean as little learners discover sea creatures big and small, splash into sensory play, and create ocean-inspired crafts. Through storytelling, hands-on fun, and make-believe deep-sea dives, kids will learn to care for marine life while getting a gentle introduction to marine science and ocean ecology. It’s the perfect mix of learning, wonder, and waves of fun!
Train Tracks & Tinker Time
Tiny engineers build epic train tracks, design twisty ramps, and test out big ideas through play. Using wooden trains, blocks, and more, kids will tinker, explore motion, and discover how things like gravity and cause-and-effect work—all while creating their own one-of-a-kind track layouts. It’s full steam ahead for fun, creativity, and early STEAM learning!
Soap Lab: Make & Learn
Get ready for bubbly fun! In this hands-on workshop, kids will mix, pour, and create their very own colorful soaps. Along the way, they’ll explore cool science like how liquids turn into solids and how colors blend together. With help from educators, kids will stir, mold, and play while making a soap to take home—all while learning and having fun with their grown-up by their side.
STEAM Superheroes
STEAM Superheroes empowers kids to become their own heroes through science, technology, engineering, art, and math! Design superhero costumes, build gadgets, and learn how science powers real-world heroes like doctors, engineers, and environmentalists.
Frozen Science
Little learners explore ice, water, and all things frozen as they melt, mix, and experiment their way through early science concepts. From colorful reactions to slippery textures, dive into the wonders of freezing and melting—all while building observation skills in a playful, exciting environment. It’s science that’s seriously cool!
Color Lab
Dive into a world of swirling, spinning, and splattering color. From spin art masterpieces to pipette play and magical color-mixing experiments, little scientists will explore how colors combine and change before their eyes. Along the way, they’ll pick up early chemistry and color theory—all while creating bright, beautiful works of art.
Space Crafters
Astronauts-in-training launch into a universe of creativity as they explore planets, stars, rockets, and more through hands-on crafts, stories, and simple space experiments. Whether they’re building their own rocket ship, making constellation viewers, or squishing moon sand between their fingers, kids will discover the wonders of space in a fun and imaginative way.
Mindful Child Initiative Wellness Class
This hands-on, interactive early-childhood wellness activity for parents and children teaches about managing stress and emotional regulation. Walk away feeling impowered, confident, and ready to help your little one thrive!
