Bring our innovative fabrication tools direct to you with Da Vinci Science Center’s Mobile Fab Lab.
Our Mobile Fabrication Laboratory offers a variety of hands-on, technology-driven courses designed to spark creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.
Each course is adaptable and will be tailored to match the students’ experience and skill levels.
While the courses are available for students from 3rd through 12th grades, the specific content, tools, and project complexity will vary to suit the development stage and abilities of each grade level.

Design Workshops
One 90-minute session, or split into two 45-minute sessions (splitting is recommended for grades 3-5); students work individually
Class size: Up to 16 students
Vinyl Cutter
Logos
Unleash your creativity with custom decals! Participants will design unique artwork using Inkscape, bring their designs to life with a vinyl cutter, and press their creations onto an item they can take home. It’s the perfect mix of art and technology!
Laser Cutter/Engraver
Gliders
Soar into the principles of flight! In this hands-on workshop, participants will use Inkscape to create laser-cut foam gliders while exploring the science behind aerodynamics. With every launch, they’ll collaborate and piece together the best gliders while discovering how digital design and physics come together for high-flying fun!
Laser-Cut Tags
Craft your own laser-cut masterpiece! Using a range of digital design programs, participants will design eye-catching geometric patterns that will then be transformed into unique, laser-cut keepsakes.
