Exciting Events Await at Da Vinci Science Center at PPL Pavilion this November and December

ALLENTOWN, Pa, Oct. 30, 2024 – The Da Vinci Science Center at PPL Pavilion is thrilled to announce an action-packed lineup of events and experiences for November and December, making it the perfect season to visit! With hands-on exhibits, unique themed events, and holiday-inspired activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and explore.

Sharks
Oct. 12-March 2

Dive into the depths of the ocean with the Sharks exhibit! Get up close with life-size shark models, interactive displays, and educational resources that highlight the wonders and importance of these incredible creatures. Sharks is available for just $10 with general admission, and Da Vinci Science Center members enjoy an exclusive discounted rate of $7.

Sharks is presented in the City Center Gallery and is organized by the American Museum of Natural History, New York (amnh.org). The Museum gratefully acknowledges Warner Bros. Discovery for its generous support of Sharks. A selection of footage in Sharks has been provided by Discovery’s Shark Week.

Wildlife Weekend
Saturday, Nov. 9, 1 & 2:30 p.m.

The Lehigh Valley Zoo is coming to the Science Center with live animal demonstrations to educate and delight. Learn about the habitats, behaviors, and conservation of these animals in a hands-on environment.

Curiosity Beyond Limits: Jared Isaacman on the Polaris Dawn Mission

Sunday, Nov. 17, 1 p.m.

This captivating talk will feature Jared Isaacman, renowned entrepreneur, astronaut, and mission commander of the groundbreaking Polaris Dawn Mission, as he shares insights into the journey, discoveries, and ambitions driving his team’s exploration of the final frontier.

BubbleMania!

Weekends Nov. 23-Dec. 22

Experience the science of bubbles with fun, educational performances every weekend at 11a,1p and 3p. These shows are filled with surprises, as Bubbleologists demonstrate the fascinating properties of bubbles in all shapes and sizes. The BubbleMania show is available for just $4 with general admission, and Da Vinci Science Center members enjoy an exclusive discounted rate of $3.

Gingerbread Cookie Decorating

Weekends in December

Get into the holiday spirit with gingerbread cookie decorating! Every weekend in December, visitors can decorate their own gingerbread creations to take home (or enjoy on the spot). This festive activity adds a dash of sweetness and creativity to your science-filled day. Just $10 for guests, or $7 for Members — Includes one 9” cookie plus decorations and unlimited hot cocoa!

With so many incredible experiences planned, this November and December are the ideal time to visit the Da Vinci Science Center at PPL Pavilion!
