Make new friends. Explore your interests. Have the most fun with science.

Science Clubs offer curious minds in grades 2–9 a chance to dive deeper into the topics they love! With four unique club themes to choose from, kids meet weekly to explore exciting hands-on experiments and activities, connect with new friends who share their interests, and grow their skills through fun, in-depth science experiences.

Please note: Registration for each club closes one (1) week before the start date.

2025 Science Clubs

Otters and Friends Fan Club

Grades 2-5

Saturday mornings, 10-11:30 a.m.; Sept. 27-Nov. 1

Calling all animal lovers! Spend your Saturday mornings hanging with our wildlife crew. Learn about animal care, habitat protection, and our animal neighbors. If you’re interested in wildlife, veterinary care or animal keeping, this is the club for you.

Coding Club

Grades 2-5

Saturday afternoons, 2-3:30 p.m.; Sept. 27-Nov. 1

Master the machine! We’ll learn how to program games, graphics and more. We’ll use Scratch block coding, microprocessors like Circuit Playground and Hummingbird, and more. Don’t just play with computer games—create them!

Mini Med Club

Grades 6-9

Sunday afternoons, 2-3:30 p.m.; Sept. 28-Nov. 2

Do your future plans include med school or some kind of healthcare career? Come join us on Sunday afternoons to meet healthcare professionals, learn about different healthcare fields, and try your hand at some medical practices and activities.

Fab Lab Animation Club

Grades 6-9

Monday evenings, 6-7:30 p.m.; Sept. 29-Nov. 3

Get ready to bring your ideas to life! Explore the exciting world of animation through both digital and hands-on projects. Using Blender, a professional 3D software, learn the fundamentals of sculpting, modeling, rendering, and animating your own characters and scenes. Alongside your digital creations, dive into stop-motion animation to better understand the building blocks of movement and storytelling. Whether you’re a future animator, game designer, or just love to create, this club is the perfect place to unleash your imagination!

  • Club Price: $135 per child, per club
  • Member discount of 20% upon confirmation of membership by reservations office. Membership needs to be current throughout the club duration.  Additional siblings get the sibling discount of $15 off on the member price.
  • Registering more than one child for clubs this season?  Pay just $120 per child for each additional child! Additional children do not need to be registered in the same club but must be registered in the same club season.
  • Registration closes one week before club begins
  • Registration must be done online. No phone registrations or late registrations will be accepted.
  • Needs-based scholarships are available to those who qualify. To apply, visit the scholarship page.
  • Club registration does not include admission to Da Vinci Science Center. If you wish to visit the Science Center before or after your club session, you must exit the building and re-enter through the main entrance to purchase general admission tickets.
  • Club participants should be dropped-off and picked-up at the Groups & Reserved Programs entrance on W. Court Street. Parents/Guardians can pull up to the curb and should remain in their cars.
  • For late drop-offs or early pick-ups, parents/guardians must park their car in a nearby parking garage and utilize the Groups & Reserved Programs entrance on W. Court Street.
  • Registration can be cancelled/transferred with a full refund/no charge up to 14 days prior to the start of club.
  • Cancellations made 8-13 days before arrival date: 50 percent refund
  • Cancellations made 7 days or less before arrival date: No refund
  • Refunds will be made to the card used for payment.
  • Reservation adjustments: Da Vinci Science Center understands that sometimes it becomes necessary to reschedule a science club session after your reservation has been made. The Science Center will be happy to accommodate a one-time reservation transfer at no cost if there is availability on the new date and the request is made 15 or more days before the start of the club. Additional changes to the reservation date will incur a $75 processing fee.
  • Please note, no tuition adjustments or pro-rates will be made for participants who are only able to partially attend a club program.
