Hearts, Brains and Eyes, Oh My!
Explore with us as a Science Center educator carefully dissects and explains a real cow eye, a real sheep’s brain, and a real sheep’s heart! See the structures in real life that you may have only seen in diagrams or drawings! We’ll also look at healthcare careers in brain, heart, and eye care and research.

Inside Cyndi the SynDaver
Da Vinci Science Center’s synthetic cadaver is as close as you can get to a real human body for learning about anatomy and physiology! We’ll discover the interior of Cyndi’s torso to see how human organs are arranged and connected. Cyndi also teaches us about human musculature, fat, skin, veins, and arteries. We’ll highlight careers in surgery and forensics.

Panel Discussion and Q&A with Female Healthcare Professionals
Learn what it takes to be a healthcare hero from real female healthcare professionals and get a chance to ask YOUR questions about healthcare careers during this hour-long panel discussion and Q&A.

Breakout Room Bag Lunch Conversations (optional)
Students may choose to participate in a breakout room ‘bag lunch’ with female healthcare professionals, where they can engage in informal conversation. The lunch and overall event will conclude at 1 p.m.
