When is the new Science Center opening?

We are so excited to share Da Vinci Science Center at PPL Pavilion with the community! The Grand Opening is currently scheduled for Spring 2024. Check back again soon for an official Grand Opening date!

Who is the new Science Center geared toward?

We have something for everyone! The new Science Center is designed to appeal to all ages and exhibits will feature both English and Spanish languages.

Where exactly is the new science center?

Glad you asked! The public entrance to Da Vinci Science Center at PPL Pavilion is located at 815 W. Hamilton St. in downtown Allentown. Groups arriving by bus and students enrolled in Science Center camps and programs should enter through the Groups & Reserved Programs entrance on W. Court St.

What is happening with the current location on the campus of Cedar Crest College?

Da Vinci Science Center located on the campus of Cedar Crest College will remain open through April 1, 2024.
The facility will continue to serve the community as a place of learning and inspiration, providing children from low-income households access to a premier educational experience through the CAI Learning Academy, a private elementary school founded and funded by CAI.

Is there parking nearby?

YES! There are several public parking garages within 2-3 blocks of the science center, including the following:
• The Spiral Deck (645 spaces) is located directly behind the science center at 836 Linden St. The walk from there to our main entrance is one block.
• The Maple Street Parking Deck (1,100 spaces) is located at 920 West Maple St. and offers a 2 to 3 block walk to our main entrance.

Is parking included in my admission ticket?

Your admission to the Science Center, whether it’s general admission, membership, school/group trip or special event, does NOT include parking. Fortunately, there are several parking garages nearby that start at $1/hr. (Please note that pricing is subject to change based on special events at surrounding venues).
