Give your child the super powers of science.

Join us for summer camp at Da Vinci Science Center. Experienced educators lead hands-on science activities that inspire campers to think creatively, be curious, and learn through their own observations and discoveries.

Campers will make new friends, develop lifelong critical thinking skills, and totally have the most fun with science.

This year, to accommodate school closing and July 4th holiday schedules, we will offer a mix of single-day and week-long camp sessions.

Week-long Summer Camps

  • Members save $15 on each week-long camp with promo code MEMBER. Membership must be active through the dates of the camp.
  • Early-bird registration through Feb. 29, 2020. Save $10 on each week-long camp with promo code EARLY.
  • Discounts cannot be combined. Limit one promo code per reservation.
  • Grade levels represent the grade that students will enter in the coming school year.
  • Week-long morning sessions are held Monday – Friday from 9 a.m.-noon.
  • Week-long afternoon sessions are held Monday – Friday from 1-4 p.m.
  • Week-long full-day sessions are held Monday – Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • A one-hour supervised lunch and activity period is provided to campers who participate in either a full-day session or a combined morning and afternoon session.
  • Morning drop-off begins at 8:45 a.m.
  • Morning care activities from 7:30-9 a.m. may be added for an additional charge of $50 per week.
  • Extended care from 4-5:30 p.m. is also provided for an additional charge of $50 per week.
  • Snack options are available for an additional charge of $10 per week.

Young builders will spend the week unlocking the full potential of their imaginations as they explore the engineering design process and how to use different materials in new ways to solve problems in today’s world. Leonardo da Vinci studied all things - Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM)! He learned about the world differently and inspired us to become the Da Vinci Science Center! Spend this week with our STEAM Educators as we explore how all of these subjects are related in fun and surprising ways. Campers will experiment with chemical reactions, tinker like engineers, and use their creative ingenuity to learn more about the world around us.

Campers will use their present-day science skills to help them answer millennia-old questions. What did dinosaurs eat? How did they get around? These experiences will allow campers to look at the world around them in new ways. All travel fees, admission costs and special equipment needs are included in your registration. FIRST® LEGO® League at Da Vinci Science Center is all about collaborating with your teammates to design innovative solutions to global problems and programming a LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 to complete tasks to help humans every day. Campers will be challenged to think of ways to design and create a town that is accessible, environmentally friendly, and can stand the test of time. Develop 21st century skills together as we collaborate, problem-solve, and have fun!  No computer or coding experience required, just a passion for helping people.

Culinary Concoctions

Step out of the kitchen and into the lab to explore the fascinating world of food science. Together we will explore where food comes from, how it gets to us, and how to make some yummy culinary concoctions by measuring accurately, following a recipe closely, and cooking things completely. Of course, we’ll be sure to learn how to keep everyone safe and healthy both in the kitchen and in the dining room.  And the ‘cherry on top’ - we’ll get a visit from a REAL food scientist who makes some of your favorite treats every day!

This camp is going to be DINO-MIGHT! Explore mighty dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures and learn more about how they lived. The human body is an amazing thing. From head to toe, we will study basic anatomy and body systems to get a better understanding of how we work on the inside. Campers will enjoy their very own Grossology Live Science Show presented by a Da Vinci Science Center Museum Educator. Of course, we’ll also get a special visit from Cyndi the SynDaver for an opportunity to explore the inner workings of the body and what we really look like!

Use the Force

No need to travel to a far-off galaxy to master these forces! We control and change the forces of motion that rule our entire universe every day. Together, we’ll discover how to do some pretty mind-bending things using gravity, friction, and even levitation. Campers will also enjoy their very own Use the Force Live Science Show presented by a Da Vinci Science Center Museum Educator.

  • Reservation adjustments: The Da Vinci Science Center understands that sometimes it becomes necessary to reschedule a summer camp session after your reservation has been made. The Center will be happy to accommodate a one-time reservation transfer at no cost if there is availability on the new date. Additional changes to the reservation date will incur a $25 processing fee.  Funds can only be used on Summer Camp, School’s Out Science Camps, or Science Clubs.  They cannot be applied to Admission, Membership, Field Trips, Curiosity Shop purchases/credits, or any other service/program offered at Da Vinci Science Center.
